Pressurized submersible aerators for wastewater treatment in municipal, industrial and agricultural treatment plants.

DESCRIPTION
The submersible SC-LK aerator is a new aeration system for the wastewater treatment plants working through a submersible gear motor, whose basic structure consists of: motor, reduction gear, aeration channels and impeller.
All these components are made with top quality materials, whose production technologies are in compliance with the European standards.
The possibility to use a double speed motor enables the machine to work as a mixer, too, thus maintaining a correct water moving, which is very useful during some purification stages.

APPLICATION
The SC-LK aerators are especially well-suited for deep basins and high oxygen transfer rates in the following processes: Oxidation, Sludge stabilization, Flotation, Ozonation.
The ease of installation afforded by these aerators means that tanks do not need to be emptied; their ductility ensures high oxygen transfer values, simple use and, thanks to a correct design, the temporary plant stop in order to carry out maintenance.

OPERATION
The aerator consists of a star shaped impeller directly connected with the gear motor shaft, a stator with legs surrounding the impeller, upward folding channels and an air pipe for the connection of the proper pipe/hose projecting over the liquid to be treated.
The pressurized fine-bubbled air is radially distributed and diffused in a rapid water flow, thanks to the low rotation of the impeller.
The air/water flow is then discharged from the machine through the square section channels, thus assuring an efficient mixing with minimum head losses.
The remarkable speed of the air/water flow increases the oxygen transfer efficiency between these two elements, both in clean water (tests carried out under standard conditions) and in wastewater (actual conditions).
The working range is divided in A zone, that is, the principal or primary movement coming from the expulsion channels and in B zone, which is the induced movement able to maintain the water well aerated and mixed.

INSTALLATION
The SC-LK aerators are especially designed for stationary installation, because are positioned on the bottom of the basin and stand firm due to their own weight.
The air suction pipe (or the air suction hose) is connected above the water level either to the basin edges or to a gangway.
The blower or the compressor is installed under a soundproof hood or in a room of the plant premises.
You can use one blower or compressor per aerator or for several aerators.
The aerators can be lifted out of the basin with a mobile crane and reinstalled e.g. after maintenance, without emptying the basin.
